Weighing in at a mere 9.3 ounces, the Leapers/UTG Forged A2 Carry Handle is a maximum performance upgrade for your AR built as solid as a hammer striking an anvil.Īdditional Mil-spec products to complete your AR build are also available from Leapers/UTG, including A2 stock assemblies, 4 and 6 position complete stock kits, and many other high quality components, many of which are now available in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote and other exciting colors. The sight assembly itself is made from steel and has precise windage and elevation dials augmented by dual apertures, making it suitable for tactical use as well as competition. Made right here in the USA, this match grade carry handle is virtually indestructible and mounts easily to all Picatinny railed flat top upper receivers using secure retention thumb nuts and a hardened steel side plate for solid locking. The forged blank is then precision machined to exacting tolerances. 'F' marked front sights are correct for detachable carry handles, which sit a bit higher than the original integral carry handle sights. There are just crummy ones and better ones. Leapers/UTG has risen to the challenge of making their already widely successful Mil-spec A2 carry handle sight even better by using 7075 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and forging it from one piece. I dont know of any 'mil-spec' vs 'commercial spec' with detachable carry handle sights. Producing parts with superior material strength and cohesion over casting or machining, makes forging the best choice for many Mil-spec firearm accessories.
